Sign Round: Formal continuity and a new spatial dimension
Sign Round is presented as the evolution of one of the firm's most iconic models , introducing a balance between rigor and softness through enveloping geometries. Inspired by 70s references reinterpreted in a contemporary style, the project transforms the kitchen into a dynamic system where form defines the experience.
The double island layout amplifies this architectural dimension, creating a more open and convivial relationship with the space. The design ceases to be a static gesture and becomes a relational element , capable of organizing its use and fostering interaction within the kitchen.
This logic extends to the storage systems and columns, where curved surfaces and smooth volumes create a seamless continuity. The Inside Passage system introduces rotating side doors , connecting the kitchen and back system and reinforcing a spatial fluidity without visual interruptions.
Icon and integrated systems: Materiality and storage architecture
The Icon program expands its design language with new technical solutions and materials , consolidating an approach where kitchen and architecture are developed in tandem. The integration of technical and aesthetic elements allows for the creation of more coherent, versatile spaces adapted to different uses.
Systems like Medley reinterpret storage from a flexible perspective, incorporating finishes such as heat-treated oak or Caramel elm. Materiality takes center stage in defining the space , adding texture, depth, and a more sensory experience to the whole.
Meanwhile, designs like Double Indoor develop a more architectural vision based on the balance between solids and voids. The use of finishes such as Rovere Sami Hi-Melamine reinforces visual continuity , combining durability, aesthetic uniformity, and a more natural relationship with the domestic environment.
K-Garden: A kitchen without limits between indoors and outdoors
K-Garden marks Ernestomeda's entry into the outdoor space , extending the kitchen beyond its traditional boundaries and proposing a true continuity between interior and exterior. As an evolution of the K-Lab system, the project presents the exterior as a fully habitable environment.
Through multifunctional modules for preparation, cooking, and tasting, a complete system is built that responds to new ways of using the space. The kitchen expands like a continuous landscape , where transitions between spaces occur naturally and without hierarchy.
