A structure inspired by bamboo scaffolding
LAVA's origins lie in the traditional Taap Pang bamboo scaffolding used in Asia, whose repeated cylindrical volumes create flexible, strong, and balanced structures. CIRCULOCUADRADO STUDIO translates this reference into a succession of vertical and horizontal elements that define the collection. This design language extends to kitchens, tables, benches, and sofas, which maintain their individual identities and share proportions, materials, and formal principles.
The island blends seamlessly into the surroundings, making the kitchen the heart of the outdoor space and connecting food preparation with the dining and relaxation areas. The various layouts foster a fluid relationship between cooking, eating, conversation, and relaxation. The upholstered furniture, crafted from Le Soleil fabrics by Alhambra Fabrics, adds warmth and comfort, completing the seamless flow between the different spaces.
Ceramic surfaces that combine character, strength and texture
The doors and bar feature a glazed magma finish , a ceramic surface with variations in color and texture inherent to its manufacturing process. For the rest of the island, Dekton Adia Pietra, from the Pietra line, is used; its stone-inspired aesthetic adds a mineral dimension. Both finishes balance continuous surfaces and organic textures, industrial precision and artisanal uniqueness.
The choice of Dekton also meets the demands of outdoor use . Its water absorption, around 0,1%, and its resistance to stains, abrasion, and scratches facilitate maintenance and upkeep. In addition to these properties, its resistance to UV rays, thermal shock, and frost makes it suitable for surfaces exposed to harsh weather conditions.
Concealed induction and equipment adapted to each project
LAVA incorporates a hidden induction system beneath the countertop, allowing for cooking without disrupting the visual continuity of the surface. When not in use, the cooking zone remains concealed, leaving the work surface with a clean and minimalist appearance. The technology is thus integrated into the island's design, combining preparation and cooking on a single surface.
The collection offers various cooking options, a gas barbecue, and concealed refrigerators , allowing the equipment to be tailored to each project without disrupting the overall visual continuity. This configurability caters to different ways of enjoying the outdoors, while the clean lines and carefully selected materials maintain a coherent relationship between the kitchen, the rest of the furnishings, and the surrounding environment.
