CESAR participated in Milan Design Week 2026 at a pivotal moment in its evolution, presenting its new Milan flagship store as a tangible expression of its design vision. The space, designed by García Cumini, acts as a manifesto of this transformation, where architecture, materials, and products construct a continuous narrative around contemporary living. This new phase reinforces an understanding of the kitchen as part of a broader, more interconnected domestic system.
A new chapter for the identity of CESAR
Since 2014, under the artistic direction of García Cumini, CESAR has developed its own unique style based on open composition. The kitchen is no longer understood as a closed object, but rather as a system capable of engaging with architecture and adapting to different lifestyles.
This evolution is based on concepts such as transversality and fluidity, understood not as formal resources, but as design tools. Each element can be related to other spaces in the house , extending the brand's DNA to the living room, dining room, bathroom, or pantry.
The Flagship Store as an immersive manifesto
Located at Via Larga 23, the new CESAR Flagship Store spans three levels and nearly 500 square meters. Its seven display windows offer a warm and refined experience , where the compositions present not closed solutions, but open possibilities for architects and interior designers.
The space alternates between spacious, convivial areas and more intimate spaces, always under a continuous interpretation of materials, volumes, and finishes. The exhibition reveals how CESAR thinks , not just what he produces, reinforcing the relationship between design, experience, and interior architecture.
Tangram, Unit and Maxima 2.2 as evolving systems
Tangram expands its compositional language by incorporating columns, hangings, and wall bases, with curved surfaces and the Groove pattern as a visual signature. The new Palmier border reinforces the sculptural character of the system , emphasizing attention to detail and formal continuity.
Unit evolves into an independent, light, and open kitchen, while Maxima 2.2 introduces the new Contour handle designed by García Cumini. Both systems reflect a more flexible and architectural kitchen , capable of adapting to the space without losing its identity.
The home as a continuous landscape and integrated architecture
CESAR's 2026 collection expands its focus to include Home Elements, featuring pieces like The 50s, the rotating TV stand, and the Solido table with a Nuance Rosso Jaipur finish. The goal is not to diversify, but to create coherence between spaces , integrating the kitchen, living room, and dining room into a single narrative.
The new boiserie systems and interior doors reinforce this idea of continuity. Walls cease to be mere background surfaces and become functional architectural elements, capable of integrating storage, display, suspended appliances, and discreet access points.
New subtleties to expand the language of matter
CESAR's research into finishes incorporates melamines such as Quercia Tabacco and Avorio Soft, stone effects, Unicolor, Noce Dogale, oak in a Trama finish, Pesca lacquer, and new glass surfaces. Each finish is conceived as a design tool , intended to generate richer and more personalized combinations.
Breccia Sarda natural stone, Palazzo Foscari and Crema seed tiles, and Inalco's MDi Ares and Ares Stripped ceramics complete a collection where materials take on narrative value. The result is a collection designed to define atmospheres , rather than simply fulfill a function.
