FENIX® presents at Casa Decor 2025 Cabinet of Curiosities, a space designed by Mayice Studio that champions the value of the tangible in an increasingly digital environment. Inspired by antique collectors' cabinets, the project invites you to explore, discover, and be surprised. Through innovative materials, personal objects, and a sensorial atmosphere, the project makes curiosity the centerpiece of an experience that connects design, emotion, and creativity.
A tribute to design, history and the sensorial
The space created by Mayice Studio for FENIX® takes as a reference the old European cabinets of curiosities, reinterpreting them with a contemporary look. Within the Cabinet of Curiosities, visitors find drawers that house personal objects, prototypes, influences and references from the world of design, connected with the trajectory and imagination of the architects Imanol Calderón and Marta Alonso.
Beyond its aesthetic value, the installation reclaims the physical over the digital, inviting us to touch, discover, and feel. Every corner is designed to spark curiosity, from the custom-designed lighting to the most intimate details that tell a story of creativity, culture, and design.
The ensemble conveys an intimate view of the creative process, in which the golden ratio, light, and texture are integrated into a locally crafted, artisanal space. An environment that invites you to explore beyond the obvious.
Materials, colors and synergies that shape emotion
The richness of the space is expressed through a balanced fusion of colors, materials and textures. With cladding made of FENIX®, metal laminates of HOMAPAL® and HPL of FORMICA®The project presents real interior design solutions, masterfully applied to ceilings, furniture, drawers and decorative elements.
FENIX® advanced materials such as Rosso Namib, Black Ingo o Blue Naxos are combined with vibrant tones such as Kitami Green o Giallo Evora, creating enveloping and sophisticated contrasts. HOMAPAL® provides metallic reflections that enhance the light in the space, while FORMICA® offers versatile finishes such as Reclaimed Denim Fiber o Frosted Jade in interiors and furniture.
This balance between technical innovation and aesthetic sensitivity turns the space into a tangible demonstration of how materials can excite, connect, and transform an idea into an unforgettable experience.
